How To Get Started With YBOAGA Boys

• Step 1
  2023 - Apply online for YBOAGA tournaments. (See online application instructions for details) YOU CAN ENTER A TOURNAMENT BEFORE YOUR TEAM CERTIFICATION HAS BEEN SENT TO THE GA OFFICE. However new for 2023 you MUST register your team before it can be entered on the schedule. YBOA Membership is FREE and can be created at yboabasketball.com. Every team must be an active member of YBOA to participate. Team up to 15 players and head coach is FREE assistant coaches are each maximum of three

  Read our Rules and Regulations and YBOA GA Zero Tolerance Policy. By entering a tournament you are verifying that the coaches, parents and players have read the rules and zero tolerance policies and will abide by them.


• Step 3

• MAKING CHANGES TO YOUR ROSTER OR TEAM INFORMATION by logging into your dashboard on scorbot.app

  Teams MUST purcahse their own Liability & Secondary Accident Coverage for your players.

• Step 4
  A coach is required to have accident coverage and MUST complete the coaches section on the team registration application on line at www.yboa.org through YBOA using your credit card.

  Team Certification Packet
  Should be received in the GA Office by Wednesday prior to playing in their first tournament. If you cannot meet this deadline Contact Faye Tiller at 404-403-5235, mail or scan the documents and email (faye@yboaga.org) a copy of ALL the following forms to:

• If you cannot get certification turned in by Wednesday of the tournament you will have to check in at the location BEFORE YOUR FIRST GAME of the tournament at the location listed on the web site for the tournament. There will be a one tournament grace period for players who have missing paperwork. They will not be allowed to play in another tournamemt until paperwork has been submitted.

  • Team Registration form (Including all players names and birthdates) If you registered on line at the yboa.org web site you MUST include a copy og your team registration with players listed.
  • Copy of certified Birth Certificate (this will not be returned)
  • 2022/2023 School year report card showing grade level for ALL players - progress reports can be accepted if they show PLAYERS NAME, GRADE LEVEL AND YEAR 2022/2023

• Step 6
  Adding additional players during the season
  If you would like to add additional players during the season you must complete a new team registration form for only those new players and submit the new form and their birth certificates and report cards..

  • Please note a player CANNOT play or be on another team's roster
  • They can only play for ONE YBOA Team

  How does a team qualify to play in the YBOA National Championships
• Must Play in two YBOAGA tournaments (Super regionals do NOT count)
• Play in the YBOAGA State Championships
